THE QUAY,MUSSELBURGH
This is a Beer Garden we installed at The Quay in Musselburgh a couple of years ago.
Before the Beer Garden was installed,all that was here was tarmac,road and pavement.
The whole area was excavated,good products were used and the Beer Garden came to life.
The paving areas and pathways were in Heritage Calder Brown paving,laid in random sizes with a circle feature laid in between 2 decking areas. Pathways led you to different areas and linked in the main pinewood decking area. Everything was on the one level.
As features,old railway log sleepers were installed vertically,yes vertically at different height levels. This was an excellent idea presented to us by the designers of the project.
Outwith the main seating areas we installed planting areas,running landscaping around them to install Harvest Gold decorative stones,Scottish pebbles and cobbles.
Around the Beer Garden,we installed posts with nautical ropes going through so as to define the border of the beer garden. This worked well as it was in keeping with the location,by the sea.
